On the same note they have an absurd amount of employees not doing nothing (1 of them was picking pebbles from the ground) and have no one preventing people from queue jumping, without paying that is, to constantly see people passing you after you waited for 40 minutes is simply sad and destroys any positive experience you may be having.Įverything in the park is overpriced, if you want a picture that was already taken and you just want it’s digital format 11€ and they force you to get a printed copy.

The main issue with this park is the way they handle queues, they quite literally let you pay to jump queues, it got to a point where most people riding were coming from the paying queue in some attractions and it is simply deplorable. There are no dark rides and I have not seen a single real animatronic in the park. Theming is basic (which is a shame given all the opportunities of the great Asterix theme) and many parts of the park are quite run down and in desperate need of some paint.

The selection of rides is quite ok, but only with one must-do ride (Oziris, B&M Inverter) and 1-2 ok rides (Pegasus Express), all the other rides are either in bad conditions or just boring catalog rides. After reading the reviews and given the great Asterix theme I expected Parc Asterix to be a great park, but unfortunately in reality not so much: Parc Asterix is a mediocre regional theme Parc, miles away in any aspect from the really great European theme parks like Europa Park, Efteling, Port Aventura or Phantasialand. I am a frequent visitor of international theme parks and also a big fan of Asterix. Maybe my expectations were too high after reading some of the other good reviews before going to Parc Asterix, but I was quite disappointed with my visit.
